Hasegawa F-16 A plus Converted to
F-16 CG Block 40

1 Underwing Fuel pylon ; Brass rod placed in underside to line up fuel tank.
2 Static discharger ; All 16 are made from 4 lb fishing line.
3 Forward radar warning antenna ; Resin copies, master parts from Hasegawa F-16 Cj block 50 kit.
4 370 US gal Fuel tank ; Resin copies, master part from Italeri F-16 B / D kit, Part was cast into two parts ( see reverse ; butt joint).
5 Ram air scoop ; Made from nose of one half of a 1/48 scale 500 lb bomb.
6 Intake ; Resin copy, one piece intake, master part from Italeri F-16 B / D kit, Part corrected with putty ( super glue & baby powder)
7 Air data probe ; Built from styrene and brass tubing.
8 Nose air data probe ; Made from brass tubing and putty and sanded to shape.
9 Centerline pylon ; Resin copy, master part from Italeri F-16 B / D kit with Monogram Sway bracket added.
10 General Electric F-110 Nozzle ; Resin copies, master parts (6) from Hasegawa F-16 Cj block 50 kit , Painted with Testor titanium and sealed with Future floor polish.
11 Anti collision light ; Made from clear styrene rod, drilled small hole in one end of the rod and painted the hole red than sanded it shape.
12Top of tail ; Had to be scratch built due to mold damage ( whole tail is resin).
13 Dynamic pressure probe ; Brass tubing
14 VHF / IFF antenna ; Scratch built from stripe styrene.
15 Cockpit tub & ejection seat ; Black Box resin detail set.
16 Wide angle HUD ; Resin part added from black box set. Original kit did not have a wide angle HUD.
17 Main gear ; Bare metal foil stripes added.
18 Flame holder ; Resin copy, master part from Hasegawa F-16 Cj block 50 kit ( part no# h 1 ).
19 An / Alq -131 Pod ; From Hasegawa weapon set B. Stripe of Bare metal foil added to nose of pod.
20 Underwing pylons ; Resin copies, master parts from Hasegawa F-16 Cj block 50 kit, Lau-88 Maverick carrier / launcher from Monogram 1/48 A-10 kit and added to resin part.
21 ECM antenna fairing ; Scratch built from stripe styrene due to mold damage.
22 Auxiliary power unit ( APU) exhaust doors ; Covered in Bare metal foil.
23 Lantirn pods (both) ; From Hasegawa weapon set D. watercolor wash, flat coat, weathering done with metallic silver Prismacolor colorpencil (PC949).
24 Angle - of- Attack (AOA) probe ; Made from brass rod turned to shape.
25 Canopy tinting ; Yellow food coloring mixed with future floor polish .
26 Air refueling door ; Covered in Bare metal foil.
27 Lau -114 For Aim -9 & Aim -120 ; Resin copies, master parts from Hasegawa F-16 Cj block 50 kit.
28 Lau -114 for Aim -9 only ; Was not use on model.
29 Boundary layer splitter ; Replace the kit part (too thick) with stripe styrene.
30 Canopy trim? ; Black trim tape.
31 Tail ; Resin copy, Master part from Hasegawa F-16 Cj block 50 kit.
32 Tail navigation light ; Turned brass rod .
33 Landing light ; Scratch built from stripe styrene.
34 Main wheel ; Resin copies, master parts from Hasegawa F-16 Cj block 50 kit.
35 APU doors ; Covered with Bare metal foil
36 General Electric F-110 nozzle detail ; Stripe styrene painted in chrome silver (Testor).

A watercolor wash of Charcoal gray and Burnt Umber was applied to panel lines of the model.
